Power is a mystery, as its acquisition is the most challenging test of all. On the one hand, I want Power (sometimes badly), simply because it’s my bottom line: having it would resolve any and all of my issues. On the other, I don’t want it: I burned myself with it too many times!

Why does it have to be so complicated? I just want to cope! Can I live my life by design, or will I be a mere pawn at the hands of contriving organizations? Will I be able to escape disease? Can I heal this illness? Will I die a horrible death? Will I have enough money to support me and my loved ones? Am I just a cog in a wheel, or can I be the captain of my destiny?

Well, can I? The two little words encapsulate a question that has existed since the beginning of time, as can I is a claim to Power!

I wish to understand: if Power is the Sacred Grail, is there a roadmap that would lead to it? Moreover, what is it? What is Power?

Power: having the marked ability to focus all of my circuits on the task at hand, and to be so absorbed in the action that I am free of the action, and more alive than ever! Whether the task is ordinary or extraordinary is irrelevant: the profundity and the sacredness of the moment comes from my being totally consumed by its life, its truth, its way.

I have moments of such presence, when I am meditation itself. Yet I don’t have the will or the Power (that word again) to sustain its momentum.

“Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding.” Albert Einstein
