What’s in a Name?

In our last gathering of the New Essenes, we explored the I AM and discovered that these two simple words are both powerful and provocative; powerful in the sense that they generate a context for “my” life (I am happy, I am sad, etc.), and provocative as they call me to the seemingly impossible – to know the fullness of myself across time (past, present and future) and space. When I embrace that level of knowing, I transcend the part of me, who, like Moses, has me doubting my mission, and keeps me out of my promised land (the sense of enough).

The collective will dismiss such thinking as wacky, as these ideas lead directly to the knowing that I AM “God.” That there would be a controversy is interesting, since isn’t everything “God?” Yet, many awakened ones have been murdered by so-called religious people for committing the unforgiveable crime of saying: ‘I am the Truth, the Way, the Life: I Am “God.”’ The collective cannot tolerate it, because sustainably embodying that simple understanding involves too big a stretch; it is too dangerous, sacrilegious, impossible! On that note, consider the following:

What does it mean to ‘call upon the name of “God?”’

This inquiry brings about a number of related questions, starting with: why should I just call on the name of “God,” versus calling on “God” directly? Might it be because knowing someone’s name gives me Power over that being? Moreover, which “God” Name should I use? Granted that the most frequently used “God” Name in the Hebrew Bible is known as the four-lettered Name, here is an interesting fact unbeknownst to and/or ignored by many: there are traditionally ten Hebrew Names, mostly translated as “God,” yet activating a different quality of the Force… What is the difference between each Name? What result can be obtained by calling on one Name over another?  Does the plurality of names imply a pantheon of “Gods?” The list of questions goes on.  Simply beginning with these two/three names have us realize that:

  • Elohim is the first Hebrew “God” Name in the Hebrew Bible. This Name is the 3rd word of the first verse of Genesis chapter 1, and governs Genesis 1 as the “God” Power of Creativity.
  • Elohim YEWE shows up in Genesis 2, as the “God” Power of Understanding, because that is when Adam stops making sense, and enters the illusion of separation.
  • Four-lettered YEWE – mispronounced Yahweh – makes its entrance with Cain, as the “God” Power in charge of holding (or not) the unbearable tension between opposites (Cain vs. Abel). No wonder it would be THE Name most often used, as it occurs over 6,800 times in the Hebrew Bible!

Through the simple observation of the “God” Names in Genesis’ first four chapters, we have stumbled on a powerful decoding – and actually on a possible demystifying of Power and of our fear of it. Therein is the foundation of the XPR’s no non-sense approach to experientially understand what ‘I Am “God”’ can mean, for the individual and the collective. It offers a path by which to hear our calling, feel how we feel about it, and thus generate a space for something to change.

Herein is established the context for our upcoming New Essenes meeting when we will share new perspectives and practical insights on the sacred Names of “God” in Hebrew. We will begin at noon EST / 11 AM CST / 9 AM PST this Sunday and page 27 “The TWIN QKode” of the New Essenes eBook (please make sure you have download the latest version). If you can join us live this time, great!  If not, you may always listen to the archive or join us live for our next New Essene show via Elevate the Soul radio.

Included below is our meeting information, logistics and access to additional complimentary methods to learn more about XPR. Until then, peace be with you.
